Dr. Perreault is a specialist in Natural Medicine, practicing with an emphasis on cardiovascular disease, digestive problems (gas/bloating, heartburn, constipation, etc.), autoimmune conditions, anxiety, menopause, thyroid and other hormone disorders, weight management, Men’s and Women’s health, nutrition, wellness and preventive care.

Dr. Perreault’s approach to medicine honors the Naturopathic philosophy. She uses a holistic approach to assess each patient thoroughly and individually, seeking to identify the root cause of the problem and employ the most natural and noninvasive means possible to use the patient’s own physiology to bring him/her back into a healthy balance. Because of this approach, the initial consultation generally lasts between one and a half to two hours, where she discusses the patient’s chief complaint(s) and reviews thoroughly his/her medical history to help ascertain the likely cause of the problem. She is adept at conventional lab interpretation, and does employ routine lab assessment commonly found in the conventional medical system. She also uses progressive laboratory testing such as food sensitivity testing, stool analysis, adrenal stress testing, NeuroScience testing, hair analysis, urinary pyrroles, etc. depending on the patient and the necessity of such information to help uncover the underlying cause(s).

The treatment modalities, or therapies, used by Dr. Perreault are also in line with the Naturopathic Philosophy and include a significant amount of dietary/nutrition and lifestyle modification (and believes these are our primary medicine), as well as nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, therapeutic exercise, and Naturopathic Physical Manipulation, and will soon complete the requirements to practice acupuncture in New Hampshire. Dr. Perreault takes the time to make sure each patient understands the rationale for the recommendations being made, makes sure that all the patient’s questions are answered, and is always available to answer questions as the patient begins the therapeutic process back towards improved health.

At the end of the first visit, Dr. Perreault develops an individualized treatment protocol and establishes a game-plan for the patient. Follow up visits are often 15-45 minutes long, and are only as often as is necessary to ensure continued improvement for the patient.
