Dr. Roy practices with an emphasis on cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disturbance (heartburn, constipation, IBS, etc.), autoimmune conditions, anxiety, menopause, thyroid and other hormone disorders, weight management, nutrition, wellness and preventive care. She believes that working with the body and focusing on the root cause of disease, while educating patients and empowering them to take control of their own health is the power of Naturopathic Medicine.

Dr. Roy, a native of Massachusetts, attended Wesleyan University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She then spent two years in education, working with elementary age children and teaching junior high school science. She then  set off to continue her own education, completing her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies with a concentration in Exercise Physiology Research at Springfield College in Springfield, MA where she received the Distinguished Graduate Student Award. During her graduate training she did research on exercise and oxidative stress, worked as the Graduate Associate in the Springfield College Wellness Center and became certified as a Health and Fitness Instructor from the American College of Sports Medicine. In the field of health and fitness, she primarily worked with clients seeking weight management, for whom she designed appropriate exercise programs and performed dietary assessments to help them reach their goals.

Interested in a more pronounced preventive approach to health and well-being, she went on to pursue her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. She received her medical training at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ, graduating with honors, followed by a preceptorship in Naturopathic cardiology in Scottsdale, AZ. Since returning to New England, she has pursued many opportunities to stay current and continue her training such as through participation in the Core Curriculum in Adult Primary Care Medicine program, sponsored by Beth Israel Deaconness Hospital.
